Getting Projector Service Work Done |
Bought a projector and had it for a while now? Do you think it needs projector service work done? Not really sure if you want to do the cleaning of the filter that is recommended to be done every 100 hours? All of these are great things to think about when you have projector service that needs to be done.
First you may want to try and do the cleaning of the filters yourself, if only to save the money on the projector service work. But if you're not really sure that you're going to clean the filters the right way, you may want to take your projector into a projector service technician. This will give you the feeling that your projector service was done the right way, and they will get the things you don't know about doing service on.
At times you really need to just take your projector into be serviced. That way you will stop those larger repair bills from happening. However, when you go to get your projector service work done you should make sure that you are taking your projector to a person who knows what they are doing. Plus you need to make sure they have worked on the same manufacturer of your projector. You don't want to give your projector to a person who has no experience; they may do more harm than good.
Just imagine taking your projector in to get the service work done and getting it back, only to have to take it to someone else to get it repaired because the service technician didn't know what they were doing. Of course, you will try and get the money back from the technician who messed up your projector service work. But sometimes it's hard to get your money back from someone.
How do you tell when your projector needs to be serviced? Well you should keep track of the hours that you use your projector. When you get up to 100 hours or a bit over, not 800 hours, either do the projector service yourself or take it to someone. This is what is recommended by most manufacturers out there. Your filters should be cleaned every 100 hours. You don't want to let your filters go too long between cleanings. If you have a filter that gets clogged up it can lead to a bigger problem of your LCD panels getting fried. When that happens, you will have a huge projector repair bill. So you can see why projector service is so very important to the life of your projector and your pocket book!
So when your projector service work needs to be done, either do the work yourself and save the money. Or take the projector to a technician and have it professionally done. Whichever way you go, just make sure that you do get the projector service work done, or you may end up paying a lot more out to get the repair work done.
