Shopping for Projector Accessories |
There are many reasons why you would buy a projector. It could be for entertainment or it could be for work or school presentations. So projectors could either be installed at home, at the office or in schools. However, for better use and care of the projector, projector accessories are purchased with it. Projector accessories will also enhance your viewing.
Projector Accessories: Installing the Mount
While many projectors are portable, some projectors are also fixed in one place. Screens are also installed in one area so the images can be viewed well. In this case, some of the projector accessories you'd need are projector and screen mounts.
But before you get a projector mount, you must first decide where to put the projector and where to put the screen. Remember that the screen and the projector would now be a part of your interior décor so you should strategically place them where they would look nice. It's important that they will not make your place seem smaller or scattered.
When it comes to screen mount, you have a choice between wall mount, a ceiling mount and a floor mount. If the screen is to be installed in a house with children it's advisable to install them to the ceiling so the children won't accidentally knock them. However, like buying other projector accessories, you must make sure that your projector screen or your projector unit is compatible with it.
Projector Accessories: Buying a Projector Screen
A projector would serve no purpose without the screen. Most home theater projectors use the fixed screen. Such projector accessories need to be the right one for your projector too. What most people do is mount their screens on the wall depending on how their home theater room is designed. This helps maintain the look of the theater room since wires and cables would easily be hidden. What's important is that you are able to smooth the fabric evenly around the framework and you are able to fasten it correctly for the best viewing experience.
Some projector screens are also wall-mounted but they are retractable so you can easily pull them back when not in use. These are ideal for homes with limited space or if you are using the room for other purposes. However, such projector accessories are quite expensive than the other type of screen.
Projector Accessories: The Projector Lamp
One of the most important parts of the projector is the projector lamp. That is why projector accessories store generally carry several kinds of replacement lamps. This is especially important since lamps generally need some replacement after some time. There are even times when projector lamps would just fail unexpectedly. Among projector accessories, it would be a good idea to have a spare projector lamp at all times. This way you would not be very much bothered if the projector lamp prematurely stops functioning. And again just like other projector accessories, buying the exact projector lamp that is compatible with your projector is very important to be sure that everything will work well when you replace your old projector lamp.
