Projector Repair when and why

Why is projector repair important?
Projectors have become an integral part of various offices as well as educational institutions these days. There are so many jobs that just do not get the right impact unless done through a projector. When the projectors are so important, one can easily make out the importance of projector repair.

Normally all companies have their own respective projector repair centers, but there are several centers that are generalized and can take up the service of any brand of projector. It totally depends on the user to choose between these two kinds of service centers by analyzing their customer feedbacks and the recommendations from the manufacturer.

A number of projector repair centers offer different kinds of maintenance packages to the users which are usually based on the number of services, the investment plan and the areas that they will take care of. For example, there are packages like:

  1. Package 1: It is a service contract for six months which includes the price of any part damaged during that time, service from a professional within 24 hours from the time of complaint and access to the help desk of the company through the telephone as well through e-mail.
  2. Package 2: The Company takes the existing lamp of the projector and gives a new one instead of it on a periodic basis. This is usually done a few days before the lamp is expected to reach the end of its functionality and all the old bulbs may be recycled to reduce the waste.
  3. Package 3: It is annual contract where the professionals from the projector service company come in every three months for a proper check of the projector and they also clean the filter or change the lamp as and when required. Apart from that, the customer gets a 24 hour access to their help line and is also covered for any replacement expenses for any part of the projector.

Some other tips that a user must follow for the routine projector service at home are:

  1. The user can replace the projector bulb himself by purchasing the right bulb in terms of wattage and design and then following the instructions given in the user manual.
  2. The LCD or LP projectors must not be used in conditions where there is extreme variation in the temperatures. The ideal temperature for such projectors is in the range of 41 degrees to 95 degrees.
  3. Projector lens must be cleaned with utmost care to avoid any kind of scratches as well as residues on the lens. The cleaner for the lens should be the one that had be recommended by the manufacturer of the projector and the cloth with which the lens is to be cleaned should also be very soft and delicate.

Any kind of projector cannot function and survive for long if it does not receive proper service regularly from an authentic projector repair center. There are some of the projector repair centers that are listed in the user's manual of the projector and the newer ones or the ones that will be closer in proximity of the home or office can be searched for from the internet.
