Projector lamp in classrooms, boardrooms etc.

In classrooms, company boardrooms and conference halls the best projector lamp make for the best presentations   The best projectors give the clearest projected images even under bright lights

The projector lamp comes in different specifications, different shapes and different wattages.  Each projector requires its own specific type of projector lamp. Projector lamps are one of the few projector parts that are replicable. Projector lamps must be compatible with your projector. Each manufacturer tries to make his projector unique with added advantages over the others in the market and it's the projector lamp generally that makes or breaks your projector.

Your User Manual will have all the information for the projector lamp you need. When selecting your projector makes sure lamps are readily available whenever you need to replace bulbs.  Some people have enough foresight to choose a projector lamp which has projector bulbs that are easy and inexpensive to replace. Popular brands such as OEM tend to have cheaper projector lamps than fancy and rare brands of projectors.  Eiki, Sanyo and Optoma are other brands that also have relatively reasonably priced bulbs. Well loved brands encourage the manufacturers to use the same kind of projector lamps in the projectors they sell year after year. This in turn creates a high demand for these lamps and the manufacturer will then use economies of sale in his production which in turn reduces the price of the lamps.

The older the brand of the projector, the more expensive its projector bulbs tend to be. As it is, projector lamps can set you back a pretty penny. Projector lamps are made of very expensive material and are probably the most expensive part of projectors.  A very high quality and a very low failure rate are expected of such parts.  Manufacturers set their standards very high and this itself drives up the price. On the other hand, its high price itself ensures its quality. Once you shell out $200 - $300 for a projector bulb you expect it to work and have a reasonable length of life.

Some projector lamps come in three different modes. The user can decide for him which mode to use depending on where he uses his projector and whether he wants to conserve the life of the projector lamp. The single lamp mode is best for the everyday, commonplace use in small to average rooms. This extends the life of the projector lamp and reduces how often you need to change bulbs. Then there is the reliable dual mode which lights to a brightness of 4800 ANSI lumens.  This offers continuous operation and is great for use in office boardrooms etc. The dual brightness mode offers very bright and clear projection in lighted places and is meant to be used in conference halls and auditoriums that are large and well-lit.

Some projectors use a unique tilting of the lamps to emit light at certain angles to create a brightness of 6000 lumens which is not only bright enough to project well in well-lit, large venues but also to largely increase the efficiency of the projector lamp. BenQ, the manufacturer of such projectors, has joined forces with OSRAM and Texas instruments to create a sophisticated color enhancement technology and with the latter another technology that heightens color to its truest state rendering images more precisely than ever before. Hence efficiency and conservation is built into the projector lamp along with the truest image projection enhancing all presentations and better interaction with the audience.
