Other companies that make projector products stem from China, Japan, and Taiwan. The smaller companies however have a history of marketing low quality lamps.

There are different types of lamps available including the LCD models. The lamps have metal halide also and produce white light. The older models are considered halogen lamps, which the light it produces is usually yellow. These types of projectors do not last as long as the metal-based halide lamps do. It pays to compare prices, but what you want to focus on is quality. A lamp that will last for a long time is worth a lot more than a lamp that will last for a few months or years.
