Projector Installation Mount them Right!

Projector installation often involves ceiling mount, which is required to mount projectors in a conference room, halls or any other places audio visual presentations are required to take place. Not very long ago, these projectors used to be quite heavy and Projector installation ceiling mounts were designed to take that much load. But now with sleek and trendy projectors in vogue, the requirement of heavy mounts has disappeared.  The present Ceiling Mounts are very light weight and are concealed in false ceilings. Various points which are required to be looked in to while deciding about the right Ceiling Mounts have been classified and mentioned below:

  • Weight of projector: Not long ago, weight used to be an important criterion in deciding about the projector ceiling mount. The fixtures and anchoring were tested to ensure that are in a position to take weight of projectors. However with the advent of sleek and trendy projectors, the bulkier projectors have given way to small lightweight projectors. But still proper anchoring is essential to put these projectors in place.
  • Positioning: Normally, positioning does not matter much as these projector ceiling mounts are anchored to the roof with proper fixtures. The conference halls are generally air conditioned so chances of shadows forming on the screen because of ceiling fans or any other obstructions are also limited.
  • Style: Projector installation of ceiling mounts should not look odd. It has to gel with the style and decor of the hall. The color of the fixtures is also important. Though, this Ceiling Mount will not be visible because of false roofing but their color should be so chosen so that it matches with the background.
  • Universal style type mounting: As far as possible, universal projector ceiling mounting should be avoided as they do not provide proper anchoring and leaves some amount of play in the projector pads.
  • Gelling with false ceiling: Ceiling Mount should not come out of false ceiling. The extended arms of mounting should get limited only up to the ceiling level.
  • Adjustable height: there will be instances when presentation is required to be projected on screens which are at different elevations. In such scenarios, the arms should be so designed that it can go up and go down based on remote controlled device.
  • Approachability: In scenarios when adjustable arms are not being used then attention is required to be paid to approachability of Ceiling Mount so that in case any problem occurs in Projector installation then they can be attended to.
  • Mount should be as far as possible made up of rust proof, galvanized fixtures which can take the load without getting corroded.

Functionally Projector installation is important but its ceiling mounts is not that important when it is compared to a projector or a screen but if proper attention is not paid to its functioning then it can give rise to many problems.
