Things to know about a Projector Ceiling mount |
Projector mounts come in various types and the most common out of them is the projector ceiling mount. They help in fixing the projector in the ceiling so that the view and angle can be the best.
There are a number of varieties available in the projector ceiling mounts. Few of them are:
- LCDA Series: This series of ceiling mounts is meant for the setting up of LCD or DLP projectors. It consists of an adjustable tray on which the projector is fitted and the projector from there can be easily installed and uninstalled.
- VCM Series: This series has been designed to provide support for the mounting of the heavier projectors like the LCD and CRT ones. It has been given various adjustment options to help make the projector give good results.
- RPA Series: Most popular projector ceiling mounts installed in schools and offices belong to the RPA Series. The basic advantages of this series include the artistic design and no need of any extra accessories. It is compatible with all the three ways of ceiling mounting and is equally compatible with a lot of extra features also.
There are quite a number of brands whose names are associated with the projector ceiling mounts. Some of them are Mitsubishi, Casio, Barco, Toshiba BenQ, Delta, Dream Vision, HP, Sanyo, Dell, Hitachi, IBM, Microtek, Peerless, InFocus, Epson, Panasonic, Acer, Premier, Samsung, and Yamaha. Some of the models from these brands are:
- InFocus Universal Ceiling Mount: The major plus point of this model is the feature of quick release using which the projector can be easily fixed and removed. It is also equipped with the Armor lock secured connection so that the projector can remain more stable.
- Toshiba Universal Projector Ceiling Mount: This model of Toshiba is very helpful for mounting the projector on the normal as well as vaulted ceilings. A nine inch to twelve inch adjustable height column comes with the mount which is removable and can be taken out if there is a requirement of mounting which is low-profile. The mount also has four double jointed mounting arms which help in improving the life of the lamp and making it better. All the arms are placed in such a way that the projector ventilation and the picture quality etc are not affected adversely. The strong structure of the mount makes it possible to fix the projector at any desired angle from the ceiling.
There are two methods through which a projector ceiling mount can be fixed on the ceiling. First is to fix the mount close to the ceiling. This kind of mounting will have a condensed design and is normally preferred in offices and schools. Second type of the projector ceiling mount is the one that is fixed a little away from the ceiling. It comes with a ceiling plate and an adjustable column and also a highly efficient cable system. All this helps in getting a stable mounting for the projector.
