Don't feel silly, this happens to a lot of people. A projector mount is one of the most overlooked and forgotten projector accessories. What kind of projector mount do you need? I mean sure you can set it up on a table or stand and hold it, which won't be a lot of fun if you are watching a long movie, but do you really won't to do that?

When shopping for a projector mount you will have 3 different choices to choose from. They are the ceiling mount, wall mount and the table top projector mount. Here we will take a look at these different types of projector mounts and this will help you to choose the right one for you.

Tabletop Projector Mount

This is by far the easiest mount when it comes to instillation of a projector mount. That being said there are also a few things you should consider before running out to purchase one. If the projector is going to be placed in a high traffic area there is a chance it could be knocked over and damaged. Even more of a concern is that fact that projectors get hot and if they are within reach a child could burn themselves. Also take into consideration that the noise from the projector could interfere with the movie.

Projector Ceiling Mount

The one mount you will see the most of is the ceiling projector mounts. When choosing a ceiling projector mount there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First would be the weight of the projector verses the amount of weight the projector ceiling mount can hold, the size of the projector and of course will the projector ceiling mount cause an issue with the decor of the room. By thinking about these things you can choose a projector ceiling mount that is right for you.

Wall projector Mount

When considering a wall projector mount you need to know that typically the projector will be mounted in the corner of a room. You should also consider whether the projector will have an obstructed view or not to the screen. You want to be able to have the clearest picture possible

If you must have the top of the line mount that will hide your projector away there are also new mounts available that will hide the project flush against the wall or the ceiling. The projector will be hooked to a motorized track that will come down when you want to view a movie and will go back when you are done. Although this is one of the most expensive options it is the right option for some people to have not to mention it is a pretty neat conversational piece when you have guest over for movie night.
